We intentionally made it this way. Yes there are five bedrooms BUT we knew we wouldn't always use them as bedrooms as the kids lived with us and their lives changed.

On top of that there is a 5th bedroom upstairs that we used as the multi purpose room.
It's a bedroom when we need it.
It's an upstairs living space when we need it.
We used the same concept with one of the bedrooms downstairs which has also been used as a living space and a home office from time to time.
